A Sharara suit is a traditional South Asian outfit, primarily worn in India and Pakistan. It consists of three main pieces:

  1. Kameez (Top): A short or long tunic, which can be straight-cut, A-line, or heavily embroidered, depending on the design.
  2. Sharara (Bottoms): A pair of flared, wide-legged pants that resemble a skirt but are actually trousers. These are often adorned with intricate embroidery, zari, or embellishments.
  3. Dupatta (Scarf): A long stole or scarf, usually made of chiffon, georgette, or net, adding elegance to the ensemble.

  • A Sharara is a continuous, flared pant without any joint at the knee.
  • A Gharara has a joint at the knee with a noticeable flare below it.
